The New York based powerhouse rockers in Midnight Mob have staked their claim in their melting pot of rock n roll. Raspy-voiced chanteuse Blackey Deathproof, guitarist Mickey Squeeze, bassist Carly Quinn, and drummer Beatz flawlessly blend classic rock influences with modern day inspirations to create something beautifully restless.
The band has evolved tremendously since forming in 2009, but the focus has never shifted: Midnight Mob is destined to bridge the gap between genres and create something without fear of limitation. As Mickey says, “We play what we dig and people seem to dig what we play. We get the punk crowd, the metal crowd, the classic rock crowd – even people who aren’t really into hard rock relate to us on some level.” Having already impressed the likes of Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan with their live performance at the CBGB Music Festival opening for Janes Addiction in Times Square, Midnight Mob is set to turn heads one stage at a time.
Midnight Mob has released three EPs – 2016’s Honest Brutal Glorious, 2013’s Black Moon Rising, 2011’s self-titled debut – in addition to 2014’s full-length album These Days courtesy of STP Records out of the UK. The band’s uniquely vivacious sound has garnered a wide variety of placements including WWE Smackdown, MLB, PGA, Food Network, Shameless, Suicide Squad and many others as well as a legion of incredibly loyal fans.
The 2016 EP, Honest Brutal Glorious, ignited their fan base and the music industry. In the Summer of 2016 Midnight Mob exploded all US nationwide playing the biggest stages at the most high profile festivals such as Summerfest (WI), Sturgis Buffalo Chip (SD), Rock N Derby (NY), Fashion Meets Music Festival (OH) and Great South Bay Music Festival (NY). During this festival run Midnight Mob opened for Shinedown, 3 Doors Down, Kid Rock, Skillet, Sevendust, Coheed & Cambria, Ghost, Trivium, Third Eye Blind, Bebe Rexha and Passion Pit.
Unfortunately in 2017 Blackey’s vocal health needing tending too, which hindered tour dates and put the pause on Midnight Mob, which included pulling out of Rocklahoma 2017. Since Midnight Mob went on hiatus Carly Quinn and Mickey Squeeze began rolling out the power trio, Misfit Saints. Misfit Saints debut material “Greetings from Nowhere” was released December 2022 courtesy of Vanzig Records and can be heard on all streaming platforms.
Midnight Mob’s future is completely unknown, but don’t be too surprised if a random single gets dropped along with surprise show announcement! The band has been in talks about re-releasing all material with commentary tracks as well as releasing previously unreleased demo tracks.
