We just confirmed Drom, in the lower east side of NYC, to be the site of our video release show. We’re still putting together all the details, but this what we know at the moment: the event will take place on Friday 2/26/16 from 7-11. As of now we have confirmed The Blackfires to play this show along with us, but we will be announcing one more band soon. Check back soon for more details!

We’ll be in Newsday
Back in December we were approached by Newsday to part of an article about unsigned bands. The bands that are basically rocking out in the garage down the block. Newsday came to our rehearsal space took some video and pictures during our practice and then we had a sit down interview to wrap it all up. It was a really great interview and can’t wait for it to hit the paper. We were told it would be in Newsday sometime late January early February. When we get more details we’ll let you know.
Coincidentally at the 94.3 The Shark Christmas Show at Revolution early January, where we opened for Candlebox, we were approached by someone else from Newsday. This time Newsday wanted to include us in a fashion article. We were told this article will be out Monday 1/18/16, so make sure you look for it after you check out the latest thing you can feel paranoid about.
1st Single & Video of New EP
We have decided that the first single off the new EP, Honest Brutal Glorious, will be the track “Swing On”. When our producer heard it for the first time outside the studio doors, his first comment was please tell me that’s your song. He described it as disco metal.
The most incredible thing about writing and recording a new cd is that you have no idea what is going to come out on the other side when all is said and done. When we were in the beginning pre-production phase “Ghosts” was the leading contender as the single. At the end of the pre-preduction phase “Swing On” creeped, danced & grooved into our lives. This song wasn’t even thought of until we were a week or two away from actually recording.
We will be filming this video with Jarett Bellucci, who was behind our “All For Nothing” video. The video shoot site will be in Greenport, Long Island at the Silver Sands Motel. Our van Glenn Vanzig will make a cameo and we will be doing rock out scenes in various rooms and cottages as well as the motel lobby. The loose story is Blackey is fighting her demons, which is ultimately herself.
Keep an eye out for the video release event to be scheduled in NYC late February early March 2016. When it gets hard keep it together, stand (RIP Lemmy) and swing on.
2016 Management & PR
This is a huge milestone for us. We finally have official legit management & that hooked us up with an amazing PR Agency. How did this all come about? Where did this come from? It’s been years in the making and the timing was right.
Towards the end of last year we played Elm City Music Conference in New Haven, CT. We were fortunate enough to be invited to do it last minute after playing the Dewey Beach Music Conference in DE. At Elm City we played this tiny bar called Cafe Nine. We had a great show, were hanging with all our friends, which included Lou Plaia. We’ve known Lou for years now through the rock scene and he’s actually one of the reverbnation co-founders that speaks at a lot at the music conferences. Also in attendance at that Cafe Nine show was Allan Tepper, a music publishing guru that has worked with known entities such as Paul McCartney & Elvis Costello among many others.
Little did we know that Lou & Allan knew each other and both had interest in managing us. Just a few days after that show our management team was born and it’s been an amazing experience since. They have helped us so much and their guidance couldn’t be better. The first order of business was landing us a legitimate PR company. Within a month of working together we teamed up with Catalyst Publicity Group.
2016 here we come with a killer team, new ep, new videos, new band, new photos, new merchandise, new website, bigger shows & of course more touring!
New Show 2/20/16: H*MAC Harrisburg, PA
Millenium Music Conference has us finally making our way back to Harrisburg, PA on 2/20/16. It’s been way too long. If you are familiar with Harrisburg we will be playing the Capital Room at H*Mac (Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center). This will be a FREE 21+ midnight show and we will be sharing the stage with our punk dance rock amigos, J & The 9’s. J’s drummer, Ben, Squeeze & Carly will be working on a screenplay combining the female anatomy dinosaur attacks and flying things. This is going to be a really awesome weekend music conference to attend, either to check out a bunch of bands from all over the country and/or attend a conference to learn something about the music industry.
We’re scheduling ourselves to be there Friday night also on 2/19/16. A bunch of the bands are getting together to do some open mic stuff or relax with a fun acoustic set. All of this is open to the public. Come down, we’d love to meet you!
