Midnight Mob

Unfortunately we have been forced to cancel our tour dates, including Rocklahoma, for this Spring/Summer 2017 due to reoccurring health issues Blackey has been dealing with for quite some time. These issues actually started rearing its ugly head during our recording of Honest Brutal Glorious. At that time she got a shot in her throat to finish the recordings and do touring. This didn’t end up being the fix we all thought it would be, but instead ended up being a band aid. During Summer 2016 her throat discomfort was escalated dramatically to the point where it was extremely painful to talk. Our adjustment at the time was time to finish out the festival dates and keep touring dates to a minimum. At the end of September 2016 it was decided for Blackey to solely focus on figuring out what is wrong with her throat and how to officially remedy the issue. Blackey hit another bump when her insurance wouldn’t cover her vocal therapy and various visits to the doctor so she had to find other doctors and these opinions varied widely making it even more frustrating and taking even more time.

Recently her insurance kicked back in and led her back to her original doctor. Blackey was diagnosed with a cyst in her throat not nodes. She was aware of the cyst initially and was able to remedy the cause, acid reflux, with a strict diet and workout regimen. The official word though is that Blackey needs minor throat surgery to permanently remove the cyst. Unfortunately all other exhausted options were temporary.

Even though we will not be playing this Summer 2017 everyone is incredibly positive and is excited to record the new material still scheduled to come out Fall/Winter 2017. The downtime allows us to brush up on our playing and really organize ourselves for the next chapter of the Mob saga. Right now we’re talking about possibly kicking this chapter off with releasing our first limited edition vinyl record through PledgeMusic with a new song this Fall/Winter 2017, plus all sorts of really great unique merchandise surrounding the new music along with tour dates starting as early as September 2017.

Good evening rock n rollal! We just wanted to reach out and give you an update regarding Thursday’s show 4/6/17 at Webster Hall in NYC opening for Saigon Kick & hosted by the one and only Eddie Trunk.  First off as far as we know the show has not sold out yet but is projected to be so if you have not purchased tickets yet, give it a whirl at Webster Hall’s box office.  We would hate for you to show up and have to be turned away at the door.

Now for the details.  The doors are at 7 and the show is ages 18+.  We were originally given an 8:55pm set time, BUT we were informed yesterday that our set time has moved up to 8:30pm and Saigon Kick will follow at 9:30.  The curfew of the show is 11pm so if you are worried the show will be rocking past midnight making for a slugathon of a workday, fear not!

If you are unable to make it down to the big apple we have you covered.  We will be filming the show and uploading the best quality songs up on our youtube channel.  If we’re able to get a strong internet connection then we’re going to make our first attempt putting the show up live in real time through our facebook page. This is awesome news! We can give ourselves a nice pat on the back for this one. We found out recently that our song “Rise Up” was used as the background music on an Official Suicide Squad Featurette.  You can watch the video here on YouTube. The title of the video is “Suicide Squad Extended Cut “Bringing Harley To Life” Featurette [HD] Margot Robbie, Jared Leto” and talks about the character of Harley Quinn.  From what we can tell it will be part of the extended bonus stuff in the Blu Ray.

If you have downloaded our music but have not seen the song “Rise Up” listed anywhere, it is because it is only available as a bonus track on the physical copy of the Black Moon Rising CD, which is available in our store.  This track also lives very rarely in our sets and is the last song our original drummer, Catastrophe, recorded.

Little by little we’re adding more and more shows.  This one is the Annual Launch Music Conference in Lancaster, PA. We did this for the first time last year and it was amazing.  Bands from all over the country as well as record labels & industry folk come out and everyone learns from each other.  This is a great festival conference for anyone looking to checkout a ton of live music of all different genres and/or interested in breaking into the music industry.

All of the previous years this festival took place all over various bars, clubs & parks throughout the Lancaster downtown area. This year will only focus on the Marriott & Binns Park as a means of consolidating everything in order to bring the crowds closer together.  We will be playing on Friday 4-14-17 Binns Park at 6pm. This is a rain or shine event so dress warm.

This has been a long time coming. Finally we incorporated our merch store onto our website. Previously our merch store was at our other site www.MidnightMobFans.com, but it has been officially moved. Little by little we’re improving MidnightMob.com to make it the place to go for anything regarding Midnight Mob. In addition, we took it one step further and secured our site with SSL security. Basically what this means is that we are super verified & secure to handle any personal data such as credit card information. If you look above in the browser you will see a padlock and now our site is https not http. We wanted everyone to feel more secure about using our site and put it on par with all the other major retailers you might purchase from.
