Midnight Mob

We have decided to do a Mob version of the Sia song “Cheap Thrills”! You’re probably wondering why not do a cover of Thin Lizzy’s Thunder & Lightening, Whitesnake’s “Cryin in the Rain” or Motorhead’s “Death or Glory”? In this day and age when you don’t have a juggernaut of a label or serious cash to pay to get on the major radio rotation this is the game you have to play. Even though this is a top 40 dance jam it’s still a great song and we have the fun of making it our own. It’s not enough just to do a recording of it though, we’re doing a music video also. This is another means of getting the Midnight mob name out there to bigger audiences and to make our brand more known utilizing some cross promo. We’re in the beginning stages of everything and we’ll keep you updated.

You may have seen our latest logo, which is the band name over an old school mic, if not it’s out there. For the first time it looks like we will be diving into baseball 3/4 sleeve shirts & skull caps. As of now it’s a thought, but a very realistic thought. What’s holding us back at the moment is some money, but I’m sure we’ll be able to resolve that. If we were to go forward and do this we would be doing very limited quantity to test the waters, letting our newsletter subscribers have first crack at it. We’ll keep you updated in the near future about what’s going on with this.

We’re back working with the wonderful School of Rock Rockville Centre chapter. We don’t have any details yet but we will be playing an outdoor set in Rocvville Centre on 9/10/16. More details to come.
