2016 Management & PR

This is a huge milestone for us. We finally have official legit management & that hooked us up with an amazing PR Agency. How did this all come about? Where did this come from? It’s been years in the making and the timing was right.

Towards the end of last year we played Elm City Music Conference in New Haven, CT. We were fortunate enough to be invited to do it last minute after playing the Dewey Beach Music Conference in DE. At Elm City we played this tiny bar called Cafe Nine. We had a great show, were hanging with all our friends, which included Lou Plaia. We’ve known Lou for years now through the rock scene and he’s actually one of the reverbnation co-founders that speaks at a lot at the music conferences. Also in attendance at that Cafe Nine show was Allan Tepper, a music publishing guru that has worked with known entities such as Paul McCartney & Elvis Costello among many others.

Little did we know that Lou & Allan knew each other and both had interest in managing us. Just a few days after that show our management team was born and it’s been an amazing experience since. They have helped us so much and their guidance couldn’t be better. The first order of business was landing us a legitimate PR company. Within a month of working together we teamed up with Catalyst Publicity Group.

2016 here we come with a killer team, new ep, new videos, new band, new photos, new merchandise, new website, bigger shows & of course more touring!

New Show 2/20/16: H*MAC Harrisburg, PA

Millenium Music Conference has us finally making our way back to Harrisburg, PA on 2/20/16. It’s been way too long. If you are familiar with Harrisburg we will be playing the Capital Room at H*Mac (Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center). This will be a FREE 21+ midnight show and we will be sharing the stage with our punk dance rock amigos, J & The 9’s. J’s drummer, Ben, Squeeze & Carly will be working on a screenplay combining the female anatomy dinosaur attacks and flying things. This is going to be a really awesome weekend music conference to attend, either to check out a bunch of bands from all over the country and/or attend a conference to learn something about the music industry.

We’re scheduling ourselves to be there Friday night also on 2/19/16. A bunch of the bands are getting together to do some open mic stuff or relax with a fun acoustic set. All of this is open to the public. Come down, we’d love to meet you!

New Show 1/23/16 – Connie’s Ric Rac, Philadelphia!

We are excited to announce that we have a show coming up in Philadelphia,PA.

On 1/23/16 we will be playing in Philadelphia at Connie’s Ric Rac with our buddies Audio Impulse. This will be Audio Impulse’s cd release show and we will also be sharing it with our brother’s in arms Long Island’s own Revel9. If you bump into Kaz make sure you call him Ibanez, it’s his alter ego when he actually becomes a guitar. Both Audio Impulse & Revel9 are kick a** rock n roll bands and whenever the three of us are around it’s always a party full of stupid photos & dumb conversation.

We’re planning on getting there late afternoon so come on down early and hang with us at happy hour. Also we’ll plenty of Midnight Mob merchandise available that night at our merch table. Sara will charm you out of your laundry money.

Song For The Damned (Official Lyrics)

“Song For The Damned” – Honest Brutal Glorious
Lyrics: Blackey Deathproof, Carly Quinn
Music: Carly Quinn, Mickey Squeeze

Skin is crawling at the thought of being lonely
Tears are falling when you learn your not the only
One playing tag with your vices
The beast is hungry. We got no way left to feed it
We share this heart and only find new ways to beat it
The one screaming mad in a crisis

Tell me angel
are you there?

Whoa Whoa Whoa
This songs for the damned
Whoa Whoa Whoa
This songs for the damned
Working on your dying dream
You just can’t seem to shake this feeling
Whoa
This songs for the damned

Wheel is spinning and the silence getting louder
That click is ticking and it’s running out of hours
Gripping tightly afraid to lose it
Sun is setting and you know we’re growing colder
That ghost, she’s haunting
You want one last chance to hold her
Love that won’t last still you chose it
Tell me angel
Are you there?

Whoa Whoa Whoa
This songs for the damned
Whoa Whoa Whoa
This songs for the damned
Working on your dying dream
You just can’t seem to shake this feeling
Whoa
This songs for the damned

The damned
You tell me you’re waiting on a miracle
The damned
You tell me you’re waiting on a miracle

Ouuu…
The song for the damned

Whoa Whoa Whoa
This songs for the damned
Whoa Whoa Whoa
This songs for the damned

From Here to Eternity

It’s another late night early morning working on this website. It is unreal on how fast the minutes just evaporates into oblivion when you’re doing this stuff. This website has been my coveted gem and because of that I find myself nit picking every little thing to death. This really shouldn’t be a surprise because that’s what we do as a band with everything before putting it out there for everyone to snack on. We tend to drive ourselves into madness obsessing over the smallest things until we get to the point where we want to put a million forks in it.

After we agreed on the website style the hardest part was having everything presented in a way that makes sense, looks modern and smells of professionalism. We always try and put the best possible foot forward with everything we do even if it’s a foot in the dark. By that I mean we tend to jump into no mans land and try and figure it out while we’re in mid air, then put the loose ends together when we hit the ground. I have zero education in web design. My background is in business & playing guitar. When our initial website was done I started tinkering with some of the code and slowly began to understand it. During this time I decided to also learn photoshop, which began with a 2 hour tutorial from our good buddy Sinnamon, the rest I can thank google & youtube. I also started working with Adobe Premiere Elements for video editing. Finally last year, 2015, I decided to test out my knowledge and launch MidnightMobFans.com & MidnightMobEPK.com. Towards the end of 2015 we needed to revamp our website and if we did it through the original designer would cost roughly $1K.

After talking it over with Blackey we decided I could do just as good job for free, actually it costed $61. So this brand new website was done completely by me while pitter pattering on my keyboard sometimes until sunrise. It’s been quite the accomplishment. I learned a lot of design stuff to make things more animated and organized. There were definitely times of complete frustration, but worked through it with a 1000 cups of tea, beer, lots of rock in my massive studio headphones and random late night tv on in the background. So that’s the background of how this site and our other sites were born. I am proof that anyone can save cash and build their own website if they want to. Hope you enjoy it & feel free to drop me some feedback.

Late Night Pondering: Will there ever be a time where the show Friends is not aired anymore, will it go on forever and why doesn’t it seem to bother anyone else that it’s played what seems like 24/7?
